The Science

Understanding the muscles
you need to fix.

The Pelvic Floor — the unsung hero of your body.

Pelvic floor muscles form the base of the group of muscles commonly called the core. These muscles work with the deep abdominal and back muscles and the diaphragm to support the spine and control the pressure inside the abdomen. The pelvic floor muscles play an important role in supporting the pelvic organs, bladder and bowel control and sexual function — in both men and women.

Source: Continence Foundation of Australia

According to Mayo Clinic experts, the pelvic floor is a critical hammock-like group of 26 muscles supporting the bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs — essential for core stability, continence, and sexual function. A healthy pelvic floor prevents incontinence, organ prolapse, chronic back pain, and sexual dysfunction.

Yet it remains the most overlooked muscle group in the body — for both men and women.

KEGEL Clinics uses the KEGEL Chair — HIFEM technology (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic therapy) — to deliver thousands of supramaximal contractions per session, retraining and strengthening the pelvic floor far beyond what voluntary exercise can achieve.

Organ Support

Forms the base of the pelvis, supporting the bladder, uterus or prostate, and bowel.

Continence Control

Controls the release of urine and stool. Weakness causes incontinence and urgency.

Sexual Function

Directly enhances sexual sensation and performance for both men and women.

Core Stability

Works with abdominal and back muscles as the anchor of core strength and spinal support.

Life-Stage Support

Critical at every age — from prevention at 26 to postnatal recovery and menopause support.

Thousands of patients worldwide have shared highly positive experiences following pelvic floor retraining treatments using HIFEM technology.

Leakage and incontinence treatment

Of course I'm not

From small wees to big wins. You do not have to live with this — let's fix it.

How will this stop me peeing when I'm having fun?

Leaking when you laugh, jump, sneeze or run affects millions of people and is almost universally undertreated — because most people think they just have to live with it.

You don't. The KEGEL Clinics 6-session programme directly retrains the muscles responsible for bladder control. Most patients report significant improvement from session three.

Back pain relief through pelvic floor retraining
Back Pain

If only I could
strengthen my back
and stop the pain.

A stronger pelvic floor is one of the most effective ways to resolve back pain. The most overlooked component of a strong, pain-free back.

Strengthen your foundation. Stop the pain.

Strengthening the pelvic floor is a highly effective way to stabilise the spine, alleviate lower back pain, and prevent injury — as these muscles act as the base of the body's core system. A weak pelvic floor causes the lower back to compensate, leading to muscle strain, imbalances, and stiffness.

Core Stability

The pelvic floor works in tandem with the diaphragm, abdominal muscles, and deep back muscles to support the spine — creating a stable foundation for all body movements.

Pressure Management

Strong pelvic floor muscles manage pressure inside the abdomen, protecting the lumbar spine during lifting or straining.

Injury Prevention

Addressing pelvic floor function is often a necessary component of treating chronic lower back pain — and a critical step in preventing it returning.

Better Mechanics

A strong pelvic floor improves posture and protects the spine during lifting, coughing, sneezing and everyday movement.

How will this benefit me

A strong pelvic floor transforms sexual sensation, function and confidence — for men and women.

What. The SEX
was that much better.!?

The pelvic floor muscles play an important role in sexual function — in both men and women. A stronger pelvic floor means heightened sensation, improved control, and greater confidence.

For women, pelvic floor strength enhances sensation and can resolve pain during intercourse. For men, it improves erectile function, ejaculatory control, and overall performance.

General

KEGEL Clinics is a specialist pelvic floor rehabilitation service — we are the champions of the pelvic floor. We deliver a clinician-supervised 6-session retraining programme using the KEGEL Chair (advanced HIFEM muscle stimulation technology), serving both men and women across all life stages.
(Source: Continence Foundation of Australia)
Absolutely. The pelvic floor is equally important for men — for core stability, bladder control, sexual function, back support, and athletic performance. KEGEL Clinics serves both men and women with equal expertise and dedicated programmes.
Not at all. Many of our patients are young, fit, and symptom-free — they simply want to build the strongest possible core foundation before issues arise. Prevention is just as powerful as treatment. Patients worldwide consistently report improved control, confidence, sleep and quality of life following pelvic floor retraining.
We help with incontinence and leakage, postnatal rehabilitation, core stability and athletic performance, back pain, sexual dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, bladder urgency and frequency, and general pelvic floor strengthening for prevention.

The Programme

Your programme begins with a clinician assessment to understand your specific needs and goals. You then complete 6 KEGEL Chair sessions across 3 weeks. Each session is supervised, takes approximately 30 minutes, and requires no preparation or recovery time.
Most patients report noticeable improvement from session three. Full results continue to develop in the weeks following completion of the programme as the muscles continue to strengthen and consolidate.
None at all. Sessions are completely non-invasive and you return to your normal day immediately. Some patients report a mild sensation similar to post-exercise muscle awareness — this is completely normal and resolves quickly.

HIFEM Technology

HIFEM stands for High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic therapy. The KEGEL Chair uses this technology to stimulate supramaximal muscle contractions — far more intense than anything achievable through voluntary exercise. Each session delivers thousands of contractions to the pelvic floor, rapidly building strength and endurance in a way that manual exercise simply cannot replicate.
Yes. HIFEM technology is clinically proven and widely used in physiotherapy and medical settings globally. All KEGEL Clinics sessions are supervised by qualified clinicians who tailor the treatment intensity to your individual needs.
No. Most patients find the treatment very comfortable — you will feel the muscle contractions but the experience is not painful. Your clinician will always adjust the intensity to your comfort level throughout each session.

Booking & Costs

Feel free to book online, but we pride ourselves on a very personal service — so we'd love to hear from you if you would like to make a booking with one of our clinicians.
No referral is needed. You can book directly through our website at any time.
Your initial assessment is completely free. Following that, individual sessions start from $300, with a full 6-session programme from $1,800.
Some or all of the cost of your treatment may be covered by your health insurer, and some clients also benefit from government funding programmes. We'll talk through all of this at your first assessment — no surprises, no pressure.

Postnatal

We recommend starting from 6 weeks postpartum for vaginal births and 8 weeks for caesarean births. It is never too late — we regularly see women who are years postpartum and still achieve excellent, transformational results.
Absolutely — babies are always welcome at KEGEL Clinics. Feed, settle, and bring them along.
Yes, absolutely. Pregnancy itself places enormous demand on the pelvic floor regardless of delivery method. We strongly recommend the programme for all new mothers.
